Greece invoicing rules
- Every invoice is transmitted to the AADE myDATA platform, which assigns a unique registration number (MARK) that is printed on the document.
- Greek VAT numbers are the nine-digit ΑΦΜ, written with the prefix EL rather than GR in intra-EU trade.
- The 13% rate covers items such as some food and energy, and 6% applies to listed goods such as medicines and books.
- Invoices are numbered within series, and a cancelled or corrected invoice is handled with a credit note that is also sent to myDATA.
E-invoicing, simplified invoices and record keeping
